Of course during the program onsite learning materials, tools and study areas are available as well as a highly experienced Instructor training support team.As an added bonus we have also developed a set of i-learning tools that can assist Instructor candidates throughout the program, allowing self-study to be undertaken at any time, any place and in a variety of methods as long as there is an available internet connection and a device to access it. The i-learning is not a replacement for onsite learning, but merely a complimentary tool that can be used before and during the process of training just to give candidates that extra little bit of support they need to have the confidence in what they are doing
The IDC itself is designed as a 14 day program, with 3 days of pre course preparation. The pre IDC preparation is essentially a review of skills and knowledge from the PADI Divemaster Course which is strongly recommended to all those taking the program and is an absolutenecessity for those who are crossing over from an alternative organization, or who have had a lapsed time period since taking the PADI Divemaster theory and knowledge development sections of previous PADI curriculum training.
The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is designed to prepare candidates with the tools, knowledge, experience and practice to succeed as an Instructor within a competitive industry. The course focusses on developing teaching and organization skills in the classroom, confined water and open water training environments. Much of the schedule is devoted to practical training sessions where candidates practice and learn how to conduct their own skill sessions and plan courses. The IDC is fun, challenging and you can expect to learn a huge amount whilst preparing yourself for a career in the dive industry. We are passionate about quality teaching and ensure that our IDC candidates receive the support and training to be the absolute best.
